Our story

27% of adult's ages 23 - 28 are financially illiterate.

While taking a financial literacy workshop at school, I found myself falling asleep in each lesson. Although my classmates and I had the desire to learn the content, the classes were boring so we didn’t grasp the information. Only 5 out of 50 states require that high school students take a class about money and 27% of adults 23-28 are financially illiterate. These staggering numbers sparked the idea for Bamboo. With Bamboo, we are taking a gamified approach to teaching financial literacy. Engaging and interactive, Bamboo is a fun and easy-to-use app to teach financial literacy to high school students.
